Chrome extension issues

  • Make sure the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions.
  • If Chrome says the extension is blocked by your organization, ask your Chrome or Google Workspace admin to allow the Bravo Chrome extension ID kclhfokiaecmaglhoceflcocbhfpkahd.
  • Try refreshing the page or restarting Chrome.
  • Another extension may be conflicting. To isolate it:
    1. Open chrome://extensions.
    2. Disable every extension except Bravo.
    3. Refresh the webpage where you were using Bravo.
    4. Try Bravo again and check whether the issue still happens.
    5. If the issue stops, go back to chrome://extensions and re-enable extensions one at a time. Test Bravo after each one to identify the conflicting extension. After re-enabling an extension, hard refresh the affected page with Cmd+R on macOS or Ctrl+R on Windows/Linux before testing again.

If you find the conflicting extension, email humans@bravo.ai and tell us which one it is. We can coordinate with the other team on a fix.

Getting logged out frequently

If Bravo asks you to sign in repeatedly, check the browser settings that can interrupt session cookies or the extension bridge:

  • Cookies: open chrome://settings/cookies and allow cookies for bravo.ai, www.bravo.ai, and login.bravo.ai. Also make sure Chrome is not clearing site data for those domains when you close the browser.
  • Ad and privacy blockers: allow bravo.ai and login.bravo.ai. Bravo does not serve ads, but blockers can interfere with auth cookies or requests.
  • Site access: keep the Bravo extension set to On all sitesas described below.
  • Popups and redirects: allow popups for Bravo if Google connection windows do not open.
  • Extension conflicts: use the extension conflict steps above to check whether another extension is blocking Bravo.

Chrome site access settings

Keep Bravo's Chrome site access set to On all sites. Bravo uses the browser for page reading and page-specific controls. If Chrome site access is changed to On click or a narrow On specific sites list, those features can fail or only work on some pages. See Page and URL access for how Bravo uses browser tabs.

  1. Open chrome://extensions.
  2. Click Details on Bravo AI.
  3. Under Site access, choose On all sites.
  4. Reload any pages where Bravo was already open.

If your organization requires a specific-site list, add every site where you expect Bravo to read the page or show page-specific controls. Expect limited behavior outside that list.

Dashboard still shows Add the extension

If the dashboard account menu shows Add the extension, Bravo is not seeing the Chrome extension from that dashboard tab. Questions about pages you have open in Chrome may also say Requires the Bravo extension. If you already installed Bravo:

  • Make sure Bravo is enabled in chrome://extensions.
  • Keep Chrome site access set to On all sites, or at least includebravo.ai and the pages where you expect Bravo to work.
  • Refresh the dashboard tab after installing, enabling, or updating the extension.
  • Restart Chrome if the dashboard still does not detect the extension.

Updating the extension

Chrome auto-updates extensions in the background, usually within a few hours. To pick up a new version sooner:

  • Restart Chrome. It checks for extension updates on launch.
  • Or trigger an update manually. Open chrome://extensions, toggle Developer mode on in the top-right, then click Update at the top of the page.
  • Last resort: uninstall Bravo, then reinstall from the Chrome Web Store.

Google connection issues

  • If the Google connection window does not open, your browser may have blocked the popup. Allow popups for Bravo, then try connecting again.
  • If Gmail, Calendar, or Drive says it needs reconnection, reconnect it from Connections settings.
  • If you see a Google account mismatch, switch the Google account in the browser tab or reconnect the app from Connections settings. See Disconnecting and reconnecting for normal Google connection management.
  • If Google says admin_policy_enforced, app blocked, or this application is not allowed by your administrator, see Google Workspace admin approval.

AI responses slow or stuck

  • If just one message is stuck, cancel it via the stop button.
  • If Bravo preserves partial text and shows Continue or Retry, use that button. See Cancelled or errored replies.
  • If all messages: check your internet connection. Public wifi sometimes blocks streaming.
  • If a reply stays stuck for several minutes, Bravo should time it out and show Continue or Retry. If it remains stuck, close and reopen the sidebar, then try again.

Reporting bugs

  • If there's an issue with a specific message, click the flag icon on that message and add a note about what went wrong.
  • You can also tell Bravo directly. It'll forward your feedback straight to the team.
  • Or email humans@bravo.ai.
